Hudson Valley Residents

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) provides incentives to eligible installers for the installation of approved, grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems. The maximum capacity supported by the program is eight kW for residential systems; 80 kW for non-residential systems; and 25 kW for non-profits, schools and municipalities. Austin Energy offers generous solar hot water system rebates and tax credits. Based on a typical system, you can expect these savings: Rebates from $1,500 to $2,000, a 30% tax credit, 0% financing available, for a total net savings of $3,000 to $4,500. Colorado Rebate Information

Colorado voters were the first in the nation to vote on and pass a statewide renewable energy requirement. In November 2004 Colorado voters approved Amendment 37 mandating that a percentage of Colorado's electricity come from renewable sources such as wind and solar power. Xcel Energy's Solar*Rewards incentive program can reduce the cost of Solar Electric systems by 50%-60%. Rebates are also available for Roaring Fork Valley residents with further rebates available from CORE's Solar Pioneer Rebate Program.
